Indonesia is seizing the opportunity to boost its industrial landscape by participating as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, an influential industrial exhibition set to take place from July 6 to 9 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. This engagement is aimed at fostering investment and technological collaborations with businesses throughout the Eurasian region. Indonesian firms and government officials will be showcasing initiatives tied to the country’s industrial strategies, which are designed to align with global trends such as digitalization and energy transition while also supporting Indonesia’s ambitious Golden Indonesia 2045 development vision.

Central to this effort is the New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN) formulated by Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry. This framework is structured to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of the nation’s manufacturing sector. The Indonesian Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, has emphasized that this strategy is crafted to open doors for international alliances through investments, technology transfers, and the development of industrial capabilities. The SBIN outlines four key focus areas: enhancing value-added production from natural resources, advancing industrial technology under the Making Indonesia 4.0 initiative, promoting eco-friendly industrialization, and strengthening the industrial workforce.

Indonesia plans to present over 50 industrial companies at INNOPROM 2026, aiming to initiate dialogues with potential Eurasian partners. A significant focus will be on industrial technology partnerships, with companies in machinery, automation, petrochemicals, and advanced materials exploring modernization alliances with Indonesian manufacturers. The exhibition will also highlight investment prospects in industrial parks and opportunities in downstream processing and supply-chain development. Furthermore, Indonesia is eager to form technology and investment partnerships for strategic minerals like nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium, anticipating a rise in demand for processing technologies and manufacturing equipment.

The agricultural and food-processing sectors represent additional collaboration opportunities. Through the AGRO pavilion, Indonesian enterprises will present prospects in food-processing technologies, logistics, distribution, and access to regional markets. With one of Southeast Asia’s largest manufacturing bases, Indonesia’s manufacturing value-added was approximately $265 billion, ranking 13th globally. Non-oil and gas manufacturing exports accounted for $147.9 billion as of August 2025, making up nearly 80% of the country’s total exports.

Tri Supondy, Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development, and International Industrial Access, has articulated that Indonesia’s presence at INNOPROM aims to reinforce its role as a steadfast industrial partner for Eurasian economies. This participation is anticipated to serve as a platform for discussions on investment projects, technology exchanges, and supply-chain collaborations across diverse manufacturing sectors between Indonesian and Eurasian companies.
