Indonesia Finance Ministry Delegates Fiscal Duties to Three Deputies

by admin477351

In a strategic move to enhance fiscal management, Indonesia’s Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara has delineated the responsibilities of three deputy finance ministers, aimed at improving focus and coordination within the ministry. The announcement assigns distinct areas of focus to each deputy while ensuring a collaborative approach to the country’s fiscal administration.

Deputy Finance Minister Juda Agung has been tasked with overseeing the financial sector, international affairs, and financing. Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman will handle state revenue responsibilities, which encompass taxes, customs and excise duties, and non-tax revenue. Luky Alfirman will focus on managing state expenditure, treasury operations, and transfers to regional governments.

Despite the division of responsibilities, Minister Nazara emphasized that this arrangement is designed to enhance coordination among the deputies rather than restrict them to individual areas. All four officials, including Nazara, will continue to work collectively on the ministry’s overall management, organizational matters, human resources, and budget concerns. This collaborative approach is intended to strengthen fiscal administration as Indonesia continues managing revenue collection, public spending, and regional funding.

The appointments of the deputy finance ministers were made under Presidential Decree No. 104P of 2026, bringing together Alfirman and Nurkholisoh to join Agung in supporting the finance minister. Alfirman is a seasoned official within the Finance Ministry, while Nurkholisoh brings his experience as an economist and researcher at Bank Indonesia.

In related financial updates, Minister Nazara reported that Indonesia’s state revenue reached approximately 2,341.5 trillion rupiah by the end of September 2026. This figure marks a 25.5% increase compared to the same period last year and accounts for 74.2% of the government’s revenue target for the year. The allocation of responsibilities among the deputies is a strategic effort to sustain and enhance such fiscal performance.
