by admin477351

Indonesia maintains some of the most competitive fuel prices in Southeast Asia, with its gasoline and aviation fuel costs ranking among the lowest in the region, as reported by the country’s state-owned energy company. This affordability is evident in the pricing of RON 92 gasoline, marketed domestically as Pertamax, which is sold at approximately Rp15,950 ($0.89) per litre. This price point is notably lower compared to neighboring countries such as Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand.

Moreover, Indonesia offers the cheapest RON 95 gasoline at around Rp19,150 ($1.07) per litre. This is in contrast to prices in other Southeast Asian nations, where the cost is Rp19,822 in Malaysia, Rp21,412 in Thailand, Rp25,288 in the Philippines, and a steep Rp48,795 in Singapore. Such figures highlight Indonesia’s advantageous position in the regional fuel market.

In terms of aviation fuel, Indonesia also leads the region with the lowest price, set at approximately Rp20,190 ($1.13) per litre. Vietnam follows closely with a price of Rp20,619, while Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia report considerably higher costs.

Diesel fuel in Indonesia is the third cheapest in Southeast Asia, priced at around Rp25,200 ($1.41) per litre, trailing behind Vietnam and Malaysia. These comparative figures underscore Indonesia’s relatively low fuel costs across several major categories.

The country’s ability to offer competitive fuel prices provides economic advantages, potentially benefiting both consumers and industries reliant on fuel. This strategic pricing could play a role in influencing regional market dynamics and consumer preferences in the energy sector.
